Jamaicans to compete in Golden League

Jamaican sprinters Michael Frater and Kerron Stewart have been listed to compete in the sprint races at the Golden League meet in Berlin, Germany on Sunday.



The Berlin Meet is the first championship of the 2008 Golden League.



Frater, the 2005 World silver medallist, is down to contest the men’s 100 metres.



The field also includes world championship silver medallist Derrick Atkins of The Bahamas, the 2003 World Champion Kim Collins from St Kitts and Nevis and Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles.



Stewart will arrive in Berlin with career-best times in the 100 and 200 metre races this year. She is down to contest the 200 metres.



Stewart will face Kim Gevaert of Belgium, Bahamian Debbie Ferguson and Susan Jayasinghe of Sri Lanka.



Other Jamaicans down to compete are veteran Delloreen Ennis-London and world championship medallist Brigitte Foster-Hylton. They will contest the women’s 100 metre hurdles.
