Jamaican Samuels signs multi-year deal with Cavaliers

Jamaica’s Samardo Samuels has signed a three-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers that his agent feels will serve him well, as he embarks on his career in the National Basketball Association league.



Samuels, the six-foot, eight-inch former University of Louisville power forward/centre will earn slightly above the league minimum US$472,000 per season.



Samuels went undrafted after declaring for the draft at the start of the summer.



Samuels’ agent David Bauman says the deal will earn the player enough money to get himself to the next contract.
