Former WI captain new FICA president

Former West Indies captain Jimmy Adams is the new president of the Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA).



The 40 year old Jamaican was appointed to the post following the FICA annual general meeting held in Austin, Texas recently.



He will serve as FICA President for the next two years.



Adams, who currently serves as secretary of the West Indies Players’ Association, succeeds former South African great Barry Richards.



Richards served as president since the inception of FICA in 1999.
