USVI gets grant

The government of the US Virgin Islands has announced it has secured a federal grant of $59 million to create a high speed telecommunications infrastructure for the territory.
The funds were realised through a stimulus package of the Obama administration.
US Virgin Islands officials say up to $140 million will be invested in the broadband over the next three years.
