TT budget date set

The three-month old government in Trinidad and Tobago has set September 8 for its first budget presentation.
On that day the government is expected to give a clear indication of future economic policy.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar on her return home from a trip to New York.
She also says pre-budget consultations will take place with stakeholder groups.
