Jagdeo's CARICOM caution

Guyana's President, Bharrat Jagdeo, is again voicing his reservations about the latest proposed solution to CARICOM's implementation inertia.

A heads of government panel recommended the convening of a council of ambassadors to help the regional bloc in the execution of its decisions.

However, Jagdeo says he’s not yet persuaded that the proposal will work.

According to him, the council could become very ineffective if it doesn't operate differently from the documents that he has read of what's been proposed.

However, Jagdeo says he will talk to his colleagues first before elaborating.
