Obama to address job cuts

US President Barack Obama will next week announce a series of proposals designed to create jobs and boost economic growth.
This comes against the 54,000 jobs lost in August.
The US Labor Department says as a result of the overall fall in job numbers, the unemployment rate rose to 9.6 per cent from 9.5 per cent in July.
President Obama has described the figures as positive, but not nearly good enough.
