Another prison break in St Lucia

St Lucia’s National Security Minister Guy Mayers has confirmed that another inmate has escaped from the Bordelais Correctional Facility.



Mayers says the prisoner escaped yesterday.



However, he says it still unclear how the inmate, a 21-year-old from the east coast village of Dennery, was able to escape from the facility.



In August, two Venezuelans and a St. Lucian made their way out of the prison yard after a group of armed men fired on guards while cutting the perimeter fence from outside to facilitate the escape.



The police are yet to find the escapees who are believed to have fled the country.
