Barbados records second dengue death

Barbados has recorded its second death from dengue haemorrhagic fever.
The country’s ministry of health says the victim, a male, died on September one at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Barbados has recorded 147 confirmed cases of dengue fever so far this year.
The health ministry has appealed to citizens to take the necessary precautions to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
In recent months, several Caribbean countries have reported an outbreak of the dengue fever.
