Jamaican Ian Goodison signs new Tranmere Rovers deal

Tranmere Rovers defender Ian Goodison has signed a new contract to keep him at the English club until the end of the 2011/12 season.
The 37-year-old Jamaica international arrived at Prenton Park in England in February 2004 and has made 294 appearances.
Manager Les Parry says Goodison is someone who has become a firm fans' favourite.
He further says the Jamaican is one of the best defenders in League One and it is great news that he will be at the club for another season.
Goodison, who has been named player of the season in three of the last four years, says he is pleased to have signed the extension.
