Defending champions Harbour View scored an away come-from-behind 2-1 victory over St George’s at Lynch Park in Portland last night to maintain their perfect win record in the 2010-2011 Digicel Premier League.

Gervan Brown handed St Georges the lead in the 56th minute, but Kemar Petrekin 63rd and Romario Campbell 82nd ensured all three points for Harbour View.

After the second week of competition, Harbour View have moved to maximum six points, the same as last season’s runners-up Tivoli Gardens, Boys’ Town, Waterhouse and Portmore United.

The day’s biggest victory was secured by Waterhouse, who dismissed newcomers Benfica 4-1 at Waterhouse Mini Stadium.

Weston Forrest, Kenardo Forbes, Andre Clennon and Vincent Earle scored for Waterhouse, while Garfield Reid pulled back a goal for Benfica.

As a result of the victory, Waterhouse have surged atop the standings by virtue of goal difference.

Over at Edward Seaga Sports Complex, national player Navian Boyd handed Tivoli Gardens a 1-0 victory over Sporting Central, Portmore United, led by a double strike from substitute Steven Morrissey, blanked Village United 3-0 at Ferdie Neita Park and 10-man Boys’ Town edged Humble Lions 1-0 at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon.

In the day’s other game, Reno scored an away 3-0 victory over Arnett Gardens at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.

The league continues on Wednesday.
