Jamaica move up in FIFA rankings
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have climbed six places to 76 on the latest FIFA’s world rankings list released today.
The Jamaicans moved up the table following victories over Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica and a defeat to Peru in their last three international friendly games.
T&T have slipped 21 places to 97th in the rankings.
Meanwhile, World Cup champion Spain stayed at the top and Germany and England have risen after back-to-back wins in European Championship qualifiers.
The new rankings have France, which lost a home Euro 2012 qualifier to Belarus, dropping six places to Number 27, their worst position since the rankings were introduced in 1993.
Spain's 4-1 loss to Argentina in a friendly last week meant their lead narrowed over the second-place Netherlands. Germany are Number 3, and Brazil dropped to Number 5.
Argentina stayed at Number 5, with England now sixth ahead of Uruguay.
