Soca Warrior to launch busy itinerary on Sunday
Trinidad and Tobago have been given a packed schedule of international friendlies as they continue their preparation for the qualifying round of the Digicel Caribbean Cup.
This decision was taken yesterday following a meeting of the technical committee of the T&T Football Federation and head coach Russell Latapy, who met to discuss and re-evaluate the national team training schedule for the remainder of the year.
The busy itinerary will start on Sunday with a game against Antigua in St John’s and will continue two day later against St Lucia also in St John’s.
On September 26, T&T will face Guyana in Georgetown before returning home for another international on October 6 against a side which is expected to be named shortly.
They will round off their campaign on October 10 when they face the Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz in Kingston in a return clash following their first game in T&T last month.
T&T’s preparation for the Caribbean Cup has been less than impressive, however, suffering two defeats and one draw in their last three friendlies.
They lost 3-1 to Jamaica last month, were hammered 3-0 by Panama earlier this month and drew 0-0 away to Belize in Belmopan last Friday.
