Last season's runners-up Tivoli Gardens turned in a good performance yesterday to whip Village United 4-0 at Edward Seaga Stadium in their fourth match of the 2010-2011 Digicel Premier League.

Devon Hodges, Kevin Blackford, Navion Boyd and Victor Thompson scored the goals for the home team.

As a result of the victory and defeat to Boys' Town, Tivoli Gardens have shot top of the table courtesy of goal difference.

They have joined the previous unbeaten Boys' Town on nine points. Waterhouse and Portmore United also secured victories to move to nine points.

Boys' Town, who entered the day as the only unbeaten team, suffered a 1-0 defeat to Arnett Gardens at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex to slip to fourth place in the standings.

Cornel Chin-Sue scored the only goal of the match in the second half.

Waterhouse moved to second place following a 1-0 victory to Reno at Waterhouse Stadium, while Portmore United are third after beating defending champions Harbour View 2-1 at Ferdie Neita Park.

In the Clarendon derby, Sporting Central Academy and Humble Lions battled to a 1-1 draw at Effortville Community Centre; while Benfica scored an away 1-0 victory over bottom place St Georges at Lynch Park in Portland.
