Eight overseas based players in Boyz’ squad for T&T friendly
Striker Ricardo Fuller of English club Stoke City and San Jose Earthquake’s midfielder, Khari Stephenson, have returned to Jamaica’s senior football squad for the upcoming international friendly against Trinidad and Tobago at the National Stadium.
The game, the second of a two-match international friendly, will take place on October 10, beginning at 6.00pm. Jamaica won the first match 3-1 on August 11 in T&T.
Fuller and Stephenson are among eight overseas-based players included in the Reggae Boyz’ 27-member squad.
Columbus Crew defender, Shaun Francis, and Toronto FC striker, Obrian White, have been invited to the squad for the first time.
The other overseas-based players are Shavar Thomas of Kansas City, Rodolph Austin of SK Brann in Norway, Ryan Johnson of San Jose Earthquakes and Dane Richards of New York Red Bulls.
Of the local based players, goalkeepers Richard McCallum of Waterhouse, Andre Blake of Sporting Central and Portmore United’s, Duwayne Kerr, have been recalled.
The full squad will begin training on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
