The manufacturer of the infant formula, Similac, has voluntarily recalled the product from shelves in some Caribbean countries and other markets due to contamination.
Abbott has announced that millions of containers of Similac are being pulled after beetles or their larvae were found in the products.
A spokesperson for Abbott says just under 5 million units of Similac are being recalled in the United States, Puerto Rico and some Caribbean markets.
She also says the company is investigating two reports of consumer complaints.
