Selectors to name 14-man squad today

Jamaica’s cricket selectors will meet this afternoon at 4 p.m. to select the country’s 14-man squad for the West Indies Cricket Board President’s Cup one-day competition.
The competition will take place in Jamaica from October 14-24 at three venues, the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium, Sabina Park in Kingston and Chedwin Park in St Catherine.
Seven countries and a youthful West Indies High Performance squad will take part in the competition.
Apart from the host nation, the other countries nations are reining one-day champions Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana, Windward Islands, Leeward Islands and Combined Campuses and Colleges.
Chris Gayle, who was absent from the team’s final two trials matches has been selected as captain.
