T&T will be sharper, says captain Ganga

Trinidad and Tobago captain Daren Ganga says there will be no repeat of what happened in the Caribbean 20/20 series, when the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional 50-over tournament bowls off next month.

The two-time regional one-day champions entered the Caribbean 20/20 series in July as heavy favourites but lost to eventual champions Guyana in the semi-finals.

Ganga admitted they had slipped up in that series. But he says T&T will be more focussed as they pursued a hat-trick of titles in the one-day tournament.

T&T have been busy preparing for the October 14 to 24 tournament in Jamaica, and were put through a tough two-day camp in Toco, in north-eastern Trinidad designed to strengthen the unity of the side.

T&T will play three warm-up matches before leaving for Jamaica on October 12.
