Jamaica's netballers thrash Trinidad and Tobago in Commonweath Games

Jamaica’s netballers got their medal campaign off to a flying start at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in India on today’s opening day of action.
The Sunshine Girls thrashed Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago 76-36 in their opening Pool ‘A’ game.
Romelda Aiken led the way for the Sunshine Girls with a game-high 37 goals from 43 attempts, while Jhaniele Fowler had 20 from 23, captain Simone Forbes 11 from 13 and Anna-Kay Griffiths 7 from 11.
For T&T, Anestacia Wilson scored 24 goals from 30 attempts. Also in Pool ‘A’ world champions Australia thrashed Samoa 76-39.
In Pool ‘B’, England whipped Barbados 81-20 and New Zealand crushed Papua New Guinea 102-21.
