Excelsior , St Andrew College face off in Manning Cup today
Excelsior High will go in search of their sixth straight victory when the urban-area ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup competition continues this afternoon with eight games across three groups.
The Mountain View-based school will host the struggling Saint Andrew College, who have only gained a single point so far this season.
The encounter is one of three Zone ‘C’ match ups as Calabar will host Kingston Technical and Innswood will entertain Papine at Chedwin Park in St Catherine.
Over in Group ‘A’, Camperdown and Cumberland will face off at Vauxhall High School and Jamaica College will host Saint Mary’s College.
The remaining games are Ardenne against Edith Dalton, Donald Quarrie facing St Jago and Wolmer’s Boys against Spainsh Town in Group ‘E’.
Meanwhile, Penwood and Eltham High registered victories yesterday to maintain their perfect win records.
Penwood outscored Meadowbrook 4-2 at Molynes Road for their sixth straight victory in Group ‘D’, while Eltham also ticked off their sixth straight win following a 2-1 triumph over Campion College in Group ‘F’.
Also in Group ‘F’ Kingston College blanked Hydel 4-0to stay in contention while Tarrant and St Catherine battled to a goalless draw.
In the remaining Group ‘D’ games .. Norman Manley hammered Mona 6-1 and St Andrew Technical High beat Holy Trinity 3-0.
Over in Group ‘B’, Tivoli outscored Jose Marti 3-2 and Bridgeport defeated Vauxhall 3-1.
