The Jamaican-bred horse Swing By has won the Trinidad and Tobago Horse of the Year title for 2007.

The Bernard Dulal-Whiteway owned Swing By was crowned with the honour at the Jetsam Awards Ceremony on Tuesday night, at the Central Bank Auditorium in Trinidad.

Swing By logged five wins in 2007 including big victories in the Witra Classic and President’s Cup.

Swing By, who beat Film Director for the Horse of the Year title, was a winner of the 2006 Jamaica Fillies Guineas and Jamaica Oaks at Caymanas Park before moving to T&T in the summer of that year.

The filly was also voted the top West Indian-bred sprinter and top West Indian-bred stayer for her outstanding four year old career.
