Third Nigerian tests positive at Commonwealth Games
England's women's 4 x 400-metre Commonwealth Games relay squad has been promoted to silver after Nigeria's Folashade Abugan failed a drugs test in Delhi.
Abugan, who was a part of the Nigerian quartet, has also been stripped of the silver medal she won in the 400 metre.
Her team-mates Damola Osayemi, who had won the women's 100 metre, and 110 metre hurdler Samuel Okon previously failed tests.
Abugan, who tested positive for testosterone prohormone, waived the right to have her B sample analysed.
India won the 4 x 400-metre relay race with English quartet Kelly Massey, Victoria Barr, Meghan Beesley and Nadine Okyere finishing third. Canada, who were fourth, have been promoted to the bronze medal.
Botswana’s Amantle Montsho won the 400-metre race and Abugan finished second.
Guyana's Aliann Tabitha Pompey has now moved up to second for the silver and Christine Amertil of the Bahamas promoted to bronze.
The Games' Federation says Abugan had committed an anti-doping rule violation and has been disqualified from all events she participated in during the Games, with the results nullified.
