Digicel Premier League Round-Up

Last season’s runners-up Tivoli Gardens recorded a 1-0 victory over Arnett Gardens as the 2010 to 2011 Digicel Premier League continued yesterday.



The match was the second game of a double header at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.



In the opening encounter, Boys’ Town and Portmore United battled to a one-all draw.



Christopher Jackson scored the all-important goal for Tivoli Gardens, who remain in second place on the points’ table. They are on 21 points, one behind leaders Waterhouse, who defeated St George’s Sports Club 3-1 at Waterhouse Stadium.



As a result of the defeat, Arnett Gardens have slipped to 10th place in the 12-team standings.



Despite the draw, Boys Town and Portmore United remain third and fourth.



Over at Harbour View Stadium, eighth place Benfica upset defending champions Harbour View 1-0, while Humble Lions also recorded a 1-0 victory, this over Village United at Elliston Wakeland Centre in Trelawny.



In the day’s other game, Reno scored an away 1-0 victory over Sporting Central Academy at Brancourt in Clarendon.
