Basketball school leagues serve off today

The new season of the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/KFC Under 16 and Under 19 Southern Basketball Conference will begin this afternoon, with 10 games at six venues.



Among the teams that will bow into action on the opening day are the Under 16 and Under 19 teams of St George’s College and Tivoli. Those matches are scheduled for St George’s Colleges.



Over at Kingston High, the host school and Hydel will face off in Under 16 and Under 19 matches, while Excelsior will host Wolmer’s Boys in both categories.



Also in the Under 16 competition, St Andrew Technical will play Innswood, St Jago will entertain Papine and Clan Carthy will travel to St Catherine High.



The day’s other game will feature St Catherine against Charlie Smith in the Under 19 category. That game will take place at St Catherine.



The ISSA/KFC/Pepsi Under 16 and Under 19 Central Division and Western Conference will also serve off today.



The Under 16 matches are set to start at 1.30pm and the Under 19 games at 3.00pm.
