Jamaica to host Pan Am Junior Badminton Champs

Jamaica have won the right to host the 2011 Pan American Junior Badminton Championships which will take place at the National Indoor Sports Centre from July 24 to 31.



In addition, Jamaica could be granted rights to the Pan American Senior Championships which would run concurrently with the junior event.



The Senior Championships will serve as a qualifying event for the 2012 London Olympic Games.



More than 500 players from 16 countries including Peru, Brazil, Mexico and several Caribbean nations are expected to participate in the Junior Championships.
