US Judge wants marijuana legalised

A United States federal appeals court judge has told a law school audience in Puerto Rico that the US should consider legalising marijuana.



According to BBC reports, Judge Juan Torruella said experimenting with legalisation of marijuana and perhaps other drugs is a better way to reduce drug abuse and crime.



The 77-year-old judge said this was the only realistic alternative since the drug war has been lost at a high cost to society.
