Simoes travels to Canada
Jamaica’s football technical director Rene Simoes is now travelling to Canada to view the World Cup qualifier between the host country and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The match will take place tomorrow in Montreal, Quebec.
The Canadians, who hold a 3-0 advantage over St Vincent and the Grenadines, are well poised to join Jamaica and Honduras in the semi-final phase of the World Cup qualifiers.
Also expected to join the group is Mexico, which holds a 2-0advantage over Belize.
Jamaica advanced to the semi-final phase yesterday with a 13-0 aggregate margin over the Bahamas.
Adding to Sunday’s 7-0 win in the first leg, Jamaica hammered Bahamas 6-0in second leg match at the Trelawny Multi Purpose Stadium.
Luton Shelton scored a half hat trick to lead Jamaica to victory. Deon Burton fired in two goals, while Tyrone Marshall got the other goal.
