Jamaica and Canada will face off this afternoon in their second Group ‘B’ game of the CONCACAF Under 20 Women’s Championship in Mexico.

The Jamaicans, who suffered a 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica on Tuesday, need a victory against the highly ranked Canadians to stay in the hunt.

The CONCACAF tournament will run until June 28 and will qualify three teams to the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup in Chile later in the year.

Shakira Duncan had given Jamaica the lead in the 11th minute against Costa Rica.

But Costa Rica hit back through Racquel Rodriquez in the 42nd minute and 82nd minute and Katherine Alvarado in the 54th minute

On that day Canada defeated Nicaragua 2-nil to take the lead in the Group.

Meanwhile, host Mexico hammered Cuba 7-0 and the USA beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 in Group ‘A’ action yesterday.
