St Vincent and the Grenadines’ Opposition leader Arnhim Eustace has described as a disgrace, the removal of the country from a United Nations quality of life index.

In its latest Human Development Index, the UN Development Programme said it was dropping 14 countries, half of them in the Caribbean, due to a lack of internationally compiled and verified data.

The Index measures a range of factors, including income, access to health, education and communications to rate a country's well-being.

The seven countries from the region which have been dropped from the Index are St Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Cuba.

The Vincentian Opposition Leader also says the removal of his country is very troubling.
