A new champion will be crowned in the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel urban area Manning Cup football competition as back-to-back winners St George’s College crashed out following a 1-1 draw against Jamaica College today.

The game was played at the Constant Spring field.

As a result of the draw, Jamaica College have qualified for the semi-finals by winning Group Two with seven points.

The three group winners along with the best second place team will advance to the semi-finals.

Bridgeport High finished second in the group with six points having defeated Kingston College 5-0 at Prison Oval in Spanish Town to advance as the best second place team.

Portmore-based Waterford High advanced after topping Group One with six points following a 2-0 victory over St Andrew Technical High School in the first match at Prison Oval.

Charlie Smith also finished on six points after defeating Eltham High 1-0 in the first match at the Constant Spring Field. However, Waterford were given group honours by virtue of beating Charlie Smith when they met.

Norman Manley need a draw against out-of-contention Tivoli Gardens to advance as Group Three winners.
