Jamaica drop to second in CFU
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have been relegated to second place by Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU).
The Jamaicans were relegated after falling three places to 82nd in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
The Reggae Boyz’s drop was as a result of their inactivity, since they did not have to play any qualifying matches for the Digicel Caribbean Cup, and had no friendly internationals in the period under review to help boost their standing.
The Soca Warriors regained the lead in the CFU region after a big move in the FIFA World Rankings. They moved 28 places to 78th in the world, following their participation in the qualifying rounds of the Digicel Caribbean Cup
The top two are closely followed by Guyana, who moved-up 12 places in the World to an all-time best of 86th, which makes them the CFU Number three team.
Reigning World champions Spain are the Number one side in the World, with World Cup runners-up Netherlands second, five-time World champions Brazil, three-time World champions Germany and two-time World champions Argentina round out the top five.
