More protests in Haiti

Protesters in Haiti have again clashed with police at a demonstration demanding the annulment of last week's presidential and legislative elections.

The police are reported to have fired tear gas and protesters threw stones during the demonstration outside the presidential palace in Port-au-Prince.

It was the second such protest organised by opposition politicians in three days.

Results from the election are not due until tomorrow, but many observers say the poll was grossly mismanaged with many instances of fraud.

Organisation of American States and Caribbean Community observers also cited instances of violence and voter intimidation, but said the problems were not widespread enough to invalidate the election.
