Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz are scheduled to arrive in the country tonight after they successfully retained the Digicel Caribbean Cup 5-4 on penalties over Guadeloupe at the Pierre Aliker Stadium in Martinique yesterday.

It was the Reggae Boyz fifth Caribbean Cup title from seven appearances in the final.

Jamaica prevailed when Guadeloupe captain Jean Luc Lamboude - whose 78th-minute goal beat Cuba 2-1 in the semifinals on Friday and put his team into the title match -- shot wide left on the last attempt of the shootout.

Rodolph Austin, Luton Shelton, Brian Woodbine, Eric Vernon and Troy Smith scored from penalty spot for Jamaica.

For winning the Digicel Cup, Jamaica received US$120,000; while Guadeloupe took home US$70,000

Cuba, who defeated Grenada 1-nil in the playoff for third place earlier, won 50 thousand US dollars. Grenada took home 30 thousand dollars for fourth place.

All four teams will head to the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United State next June.
