Denbigh, The Queen’s win All Island titles

The Queen’s School scored a 33-20 victory over Holmwood Technical yesterday to retain the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/Digicel All-Island Junior title at the Leila Robinson Court.



The teams battled to a 6-6 tie at the end of the first quarter. However, The Queen’s surged to a 15-11 lead at the end of half time and increased the lead in the third quarter to 21-15 on their way to a comfortable victory.



Sade Ffrench led the way for The Queen’s School with a game-high27 goals from 33 attempts while Khadijah Williams scored six from 13 attempts.



For Holmwood, Nicole Dixon had 11 from 12 attempts and Sashana Richards nine from 13.

Meanwhile, Denbigh High scored a 24-21 victory over Urban champions St Hugh’s High to win the All-Island senior netball title.
