Jamaican national in Bermuda granted bail

A 34-year-old Jamaican national has been granted a US$25,000 bail in a Bermuda Resident Magistrate court and given permission to travel home today for the holidays.



Everald Richard Stanley is accused of assaulting Neville Brown last month.



He was subsequently charged yesterday with unlawfully wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.



Stanley was not required to enter a plea as he will be tried in the Bermuda Supreme Court.



Stanley is expected to return to Bermuda by January 8 in time for his court date of January 10.
