Haiti re-opens election appeals
A group of diplomats is urging election authorities and presidential candidates in Haiti to reach a deal to avoid more unrest over the disputed results of last month's vote.
The ambassadors from the US, the OAS, Brazil and the EU have also advised candidates to appeal the results and to observe the legal process.
This follows the rejection by Mirlande Manigat and Michel Martelly, two of the three main candidates of a proposed recount of votes from the first-round a fortnight ago.
Protests over the elimination of third-placed candidate Michel Martelly had shut down Port-au-Prince during the initial appeals period last week.
A new three-day elections appeals process in Haiti will now end on Wednesday.
During this period, all candidates can submit appeals ahead of a final count.
