WICB awards six players central contracts

The Jamaican pair of highly rated Stafanie Taylor and all-rounder Shanel Daley are among six women’s cricketers awarded Central Retainer Contracts by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
The contracts were awarded by the WICB earlier today. The move represents the first time women’s players have been central contracted by the WICB.
World record holder Deandra Dottin, captain Merissa Aguilleira, off-spinner Anisa Mohammed and all-rounder Stacy Ann King are the other players.
Taylor and Dottin were awarded ‘A’ contracts, while the remaining players were issued with ‘B’ contracts.
The WICB now has a total of 44 players on contract for the current contract period.
This number represents 15 senior men’s players on Central Retainer Contracts, eight on Developmental Contracts and 15 on High Performance Centre Contracts.
