West Indies women had their chances of taking an unassailable lead in the One-Day series against Ireland disappeared, when rain washed out the second match yesterday.

West Indies, which won the rain-affected opening match on Tuesday by five wickets, will now look to clinch the series in the third and final match on Sunday.

The teams will clash in a 20/20 match today, a match that will be the West Indies first campaign in the game’s latest format.

Following the game on Sunday, West Indies will head to the Netherlands, where they will play four One-Day matches and two 20/20, starting on July 1.

The Caribbean side will complete the European tour with two further One-Day matches against England later in the month.
