Cuba launches new website

The Cuban government is today launching its own online encyclopaedia, similar to Wikipedia.



The aim of the Cuban Government’s online encyclopaedia is to present the country’s version of the world and history.



While the new Spanish language website will be officially launched today it is already up and running with about 20,000 entries on www.ecured.cu.



The websites describes its longtime ideological enemy, the United States, as the empire of its time and the most powerful nation of all time.
