Young Reggae Boyz departs for Brazil today
Jamaica’s 22-member Under-17 football squad is now travelling to Sao Paulo, Brazil for a three-week training camp.
The young Reggae Boyz are preparing for the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying Finals to be held in western Jamaica next February.
Four overseas-based players have been included in squad. The overseas-based players are Shane Hardie from the United States, the Canadian pair of Quante Smith and Shawn Lawson along with Jevani Brown from the United Kingdom.
The squad also includes four players from St George’s College. Those players are Nico Campbell, Oshane Jenkins, Romario Jones and Andre Lewis.
Junior Flemmings is the only players from Manning Cup, Walker Cup and Olivier Shield champions Jamaica College.
In Brazil, the players will be involved in eight practice games and a number of training sessions.
Meanwhile, the draw for the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying Finals is now taking place at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa in Montego Bay.
