Tivoli, Waterhouse draw

Tivoli Gardens and Waterhouse battled to a 1-1 draw in their Digicel Premier League top-of-the-table second round clash last night at the Edward Seaga Stadium.



Keammar Daley fired the home team ahead in the 23rd minute, but Jonathan Williams replied for Waterhouse in the 70th minute.



It was the first match between the teams since Tivoli Gardens scored an impressive 5-1 victory over Waterhouse to win the first End-of-Round final at the National Stadium.



The result means that Tivoli Gardens have hold on to their lead, but by one point as Portmore United defeated Sporting Central Academy 1-0 Ferdie Neita Park in a late game to move into second place.



Tivoli Gardens are leading with 37 points, followed by Portmore United on 36. Waterhouse have slipped to third place with 35 points.



In other games, Shasha Marley Barrett’s 26th minute strike gave Reno a 1-0 victory over Village United at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay, Humble Lion blanked St George’s 2-0 in a bottom-of-the-table clash at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon and Arnett Gardens edged Benfica 1-0 at Anthony Spaulding Complex.
