Police describe Barbados triple murders as unfortunate
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC: Three men were killed on Thursday and Police Commissioner Darwin Dottin has described the murders as unfortunate and regrettable.
The NATION newspaper quoted Dottin as saying that two of those killed were as a result of domestic disputes and called on Barbadians to exercise restraint during the holiday period.
Police said that 24-year-old Sheldon Taylor, was shot while on public transportation, while Christopher Charles, 24, and 22-year-old Renaldo Jones murders have been linked to an alleged retaliation in a dispute.
“Things have been going very well up to now and Barbadians have been exhibiting restraint and good sense,” Dotin said, adding “it’s unfortunate at this stage we had two deaths arising out of a domestic dispute”.
He said it was regrettable that those involved could not have settled their differences without resorting to violence.
The police have also called on the public to help them solve the murder of Taylor.
