Raiders beat JDF

Raiders United scored a hard-fought 3-2 victory over the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) in the Jamaica Hockey Federation’s Premier Men’s League yesterday.
The game was played at the Mona Hockey Turf.
Garcia Kelly, Brian Brodber and Michael Beech scored for Raiders United.
As a result of the victory, Raiders United ended the preliminary round in fourth place on nine points, three behind leader Circus Circle on 12 points.
JDF ended in second place on 10 points courtesy of a better goal average. Sharpes Rebel also finished on 10 points for third place.
In the women’s Premier League, St. Andrew had a walkover victory over Excelsior in Division One.
St. Andrew ended atop the standings with 19 points, four ahead of Sharpes on 15 points.
