Runoff election delay in Haiti

A senior election official in Haiti says there is no chance that the second round of the presidential poll can be held before the end of February, when the current leader, Rene Preval, officially leaves office.
Full results from the first round, in November, have still not been published.
The delay stems from complaints by almost all the candidates who rejected the provisional figures, claiming disorganisation, fraud, violence and voter intimidation.
President Preval has called in experts from the Organisation of American States to verify the preliminary figures, a task they have yet to complete.
