A light aircraft travelling from Trinidad to Martinique was forced to make an emergency landing at the Maurice Bishop International Airport in Grenada after losing power.
Aviation officials say the Cesna 172 plane declared an emergency 25 miles south of Grenada after its single engine shut down forcing pilot, Daniel Blomberg, to execute a scary day-time landing at the airport.
Blomberg appeared shaken-up from the experience after bravely managing to prevent his aircraft from plunging into the sea by gliding it to a safe landing.
He first radioed Piarco International Airport for help but was referred to the Air traffic Control tower in Grenada located just 90 miles to the North of Trinidad and Tobago.
