Jamaica squad heads to Poland

Jamaica’s 31-member squad left the island yesterday for the 12th International Association of Athletics Federation’s World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.



Yohan Blake, World Junior medallist and national 100-metre record holder heads Jamaica’s squad.



Blake, who won the 100-metre bronze at the last Championships in Beijing, China, is the only returning individual medallist in the squad for the July 8 to 13 Games.



Dexter Lee, Ramone McKenzie, Natasha Ruddock and Shermaine Williams are the other top athletes in the squad.
