Boxing series continues tonight

The second round of the Wray and Nephew Contender boxing series will take place tonight at the Chinese Benevolent Association headquarters on Old Hope Road.
The main bout on the card will see Ricardo Planter of the Green Team facing Patrick Miller of the Yellow Team.
That bout will be live on TVJ, beginning at 9 p.m. It will be preceded by two amateur bouts.
Tonight’s event is part of a 15-week Jamaica Boxing Board of Control sanctioned boxing extravaganza, with the aim to crown a middleweight champion of Jamaica at the end in April.
Sixteen boxers divided into two teams ¬ are participating for prize money of nearly $2 million.
