The two main political parties in Barbados are today holding their final campaign rallies ahead of tomorrow’s by election in the St John seat that was held by the late Prime Minister, David Thompson.
Thompson's widow, Mara, is the candidate of the governing Democratic Labour Party.
Her rival is the Barbados Labour Party's (BLP) Hudson Griffith.
Thompson is St Lucian-born, and the opposition BLP has been focusing on her nationality during the campaign.
However, she has hit back by stating that she is a strong Caribbean woman.
