Two executive members of CONCACAF, Manolo Zubiria, director marketing and television and Jill Francis, deputy general secretary, arrived in the country earlier today to conduct inspections on venues for the Caribbean Under-17 Championship.
The championship will be staged at two venues in Western Jamaica from February 14 to 27. The venues are the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium and Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.
The officials will visit Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium this afternoon at 1.30 p.m. and Catherine Hall at 5 p.m.
The top four teams in the 12-nation tournament will qualify for the FIFA World Cup to be staged in Mexico this June.
Jamaica’s young Reggae Boyz are now in Brazil preparing for the Championship.
