Triple jump champion added to Beijing Squad

The 2005 World Championship triple jump champion Trecia Smith has been added to Jamaica’s team for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Smith, who leapt a personal best 15.16 metres to win Jamaica’s first gold in the field at a major championship, joins 51 other athletes announced on Tuesday by the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA).
The team departs on July 29 and returns August 25.
